 Shade Stone

Where From: Winsor, Ontario

Bio:

After 10 years of performing in his home town of Windsor Ontario, Shade Stone has managed to take his name and his music across the nation to officially earn him the title 'Canadian Recording Artist'.

Shade's ability to write and perform his own hit songs was affirmed in early 2008 when a song he wrote called 'The Promise' (released under his co-created duo 'the Raynes') broke Top 50 in Canada in two formats. The song also earned him and his group The Chum Emerging Artist Initiative which put him in the ranks of other popular Canadian artists such as 'State Of Shock' and 'Suzie McNeil'. This allowed Shade the opportunity to share the stage and open for Juno Nominees and Canadian Music Award winners Neverending White Lights and Divine Brown.

All of these experiences were collected under the umbrella of independence, and by early 2009 Shade had finished writing and began recording his Solo effort entitled 'Blissfully Unattended' which is set to be released in June of 2010.

The first single that Shade wrote for the EP called 'All Of Me' caught the attention of Juno Nominee and Producer Daniel Victor who has worked with high profile Canadian Artists such as Dallas Green (City&Colour), Raine Maida (Our Lady Peace) & Scott Anderson (Finger 11). Shade's strength as a songwriter continued to shine in 'All Of Me' which eventually broke the Top100 in Canada peaking at number 73.

Currently, Shade has just released a new single across the nation called 'When I'm Gone' that is already receiving nation wide attention at Canadian Radio and is yet another track securing Shade's musical vision of providing something new to popular music.

My personal Notes.

I myself listen and have seen him once live when he was with the Raynes. Amazing sound and IMHO has Talent. I myself am a bit mythed to why he or the Raynes arent signed to a Large Record deal, but i guess that is my personal opinion. I would if i had a record company sign them. They are a very well played band on 96.7 radio here in Detroit and Winsor. Cant wait for the song release. My personal favorite is All of me and another the Promise.

Here is the Myspace page where you can here some of the music
